- Master's Degree in Juvenile Justice-Shippensburg University
- Teacher Certification in Secondary Mathematics-Wilson College
- Master's Degree in Online Teaching-Wilkes University
- Teacher Certification in Computer Science 7-12.
Career:
- Juvenile Probation Officer for eight (8) years in Franklin County
- Five (5) of those Eight (8) years were as a School-Based Probation Officer at Faust Jr. High School (CAMS North)
- Teaching since 2006
- Taught 6th and 9th grade Math for Proficiency, 7th grade Financial Wellness, Algebra I and Algebra II, as well as, ESL accommodated Algebra I, Computer Programming and Software Development, AP Computer Science A, and Cybersecurity
- Teaching Cyber School since 2011
- Taught with FVA (Franklin Virtual Academy) from 2011-2017 with Blackboard platform and Odysseyware platform
- Taught with C3 (Chambersburg Customized Cyber) since 2017 then switched to CAVE in 2019.
- Credit Recovery and Summer School
- Courses: Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Geometry, Trigonometry, and Probability and Statistics
Family:
- Son, Vance, 20 years old
- He graduated from Shippensburg Area Senior High School in 2022. He is currently attending Mount Aloysius College where he is majoring in radiology/medical imaging and plays collegiate level golf.
- Two cats, Curly Q and Marshall, and a dog, Chance (lab/coonhound mix)
Hobbies:
- Sports-watching and playing; running 5K and 10K races, ran first half marathon in Key West in 2018
- Reading, going on trips, playing with our pets, being a caddy for my son on the golf course, etc.
- Teaching Computer Science has turned me into a duck collector.
