Education:
I am a graduate of CASHS. From here I went to Shippensburg University for secondary mathematics education.Fast forward a few years, and I obtained my Masters and Educational Specialist Degrees from Capella University. I also have my K-12 Principal Certification.
Experience:
I began my teaching career in the East Windsor and North Brunswick School Districts in New Jersey. It was there that I found my niche working with marginalized and at-risk students. After staying home with my daughter during her young years, I moved to Sir Francis Drake High School in California. It was there that I discovered the power of cooperative teamwork and project-based learning. I moved back to my hometown of Chambersburg, PA 17 years ago, and I have brought my two passions with me.
Personal:
I have a daughter, Annie, who is a social worker in New York. I also have a sweet golden retriever puppy named Josie. I like to go on road trips to visit Annie in NY, my dad in Philly, and my extended family in western PA. I also love to cook (but not bake LOL). My down time is spent reading and being outside with Josie.
