I hear, I forget. I see, I remember.  I do, I understand.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in the above Chinese proverb.  I believe students assimilate concepts best when they are presented in all learning styles with an emphasis on providing meaningful hands-on learning experiences.

This course is designed to provide students with experience in science and technology that will expand their interest and understanding as they progress through the Pennsylvania Academic Standards as well as give them the knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts, so that, after their formal education, they possess the ability to think critically and make educated choices regarding future scientific issues.
