Mr. Jamelli, The Professional

Mr. Jamelli was born in Hazleton, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Hazleton Area High School.  Having watched ESPN for hours and hours during his schooling, Jamelli's first professional goal was to be a sports broadcaster.   In order to work towards this goal, Mr. Jamelli attended the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications Media.  After graduation and an extensive job search, Mr. Jamelli signed on with WYLN-TV 35, a broadcast television station located in the Scranton TV market. (the 53rd largest media market in the country)  During this time, Mr. Jamelli fulfilled many roles.  He was the sports producer, sports videographer, sports editor, sports copywriter, and also served as the sports anchor during the news broadcasts.  It wasn't quite ESPN, but it was a goal fulfilled.  During his time in local television, Mr. Jamelli worked with several High School coaches and athletes.  It was through this endeavor that Mr. Jamelli felt a pull towards education and athletics.  It also helped that his fiancé and extended family all had backgrounds in education.

In the spring of 2002, Mr. Jamelli enrolled in the Institute of Interactive and Instructional Technologies at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.  In the summer of 2004, Jamelli completed his Masters of Arts work in Instructional Design and Technology.  2004 was also the year Mr. and Mrs. Jamelli were married.  (2004 was a good year, with the exception of the World Series)

Mr. Jamelli spent the next 8 years professionally working in the private sector doing marketing, multimedia production, and innovating technologies for Digital Matrix Studio, a Chambersburg-based production company.  In 2010, Mr. Jamelli was hired by the Goodwin College at Drexel University to act as Instructional Designer for several online courses.  Through this experience, Mr. Jamelli worked with Drexel staff and professors to build undergraduate courses on the Blackboard system.

During this time with Drexel, Mr. Jamelli also decided to follow his long-time goal to work in the education field by completing his teaching certificate through the Wilson College Teacher Intern Program (TIP).  Through this experience, Mr. Jamelli met several mentors and earned certifications to teach K-6, 7-9 Math, 7-12 Communications, and Business.

In 2011, Mr. Jamelli was hired as a long-term sub at (then) Faust Junior High School to teach E-Learning.  Mr. Jamelli used his experience at Drexel to help 8th-grade students utilize the Blackboard online education system.  In the fall of 2011, Mr. Jamelli was hired full-time as a Business Teacher at CASHS where he currently serves.  Mr. Jamelli also serves as an Assistant General Manager for the Chambersburg E-Sports teams.
