Honors Spanish I

Tapirs (pronounced /ˈteɪpɚ/, as in "taper", or /təˈpɪər/, as "ta-pier") are large browsing mammals, roughly pig-like in shape, with short, prehensile snouts. They inhabit jungle and forest regions of South America, Central America, and Southeast Asia. All four species of tapir are classified as endangered or vulnerable. Their closest relatives are the other odd-toed ungulates, including horses and rhinoceroses.

STUDY SMART!

You will not learn Spanish just sitting in the classroom! You must study after the class is over. Make it a goal to study or practice your new vocabulary each night. Practice with a classmate or find a new friend who speaks Spanish. Make vocabulary study cards.

Practice the new grammatical structures we learn. Check out Glencoe.com! They have some practice material and realia to help you learn more!

Be careful with on-line translators and dictionaries, they may not give you the proper information that you are looking to use.
